Frequently Asked Questions

Who do you work with?

I work with young adults, typically in their late teens through early 40s, who are struggling with OCD, health anxiety, phobias, and compulsive behaviors that are interfering with daily life. If you're in New Jersey, we can work together virtually from the comfort of your home.

Is therapy with you virtual or in-person?

All sessions are virtual, so you can get the support you need without the stress of travel or rearranging your schedule. It’s accessible, convenient, and confidential.

Insurance

Do you accept insurance?

Yes, I accept most major insurance plans. During your free consultation, we’ll walk through the details together so you know exactly what to expect.

How do I get started?

It’s simple—just schedule a free 15-minute consultation. We’ll talk briefly about what you're struggling with, what you’re hoping for, and see if working together is the right fit.

What if I’ve tried therapy before and it didn’t work?

That’s more common than you think—and it often comes down to using the wrong approach. OCD and related anxiety disorders require more than traditional talk therapy. I use Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), the gold-standard treatment specifically designed for these issues.

ERP

What is ERP and how does it work?

ERP stands for Exposure and Response Prevention. It helps you gradually face the thoughts, fears, or situations that trigger your anxiety—without doing the compulsions that keep the cycle going. Over time, your brain learns that it doesn’t need those behaviors to stay safe. It’s challenging, but it’s also deeply effective—and you’ll never be expected to do it alone.

How long does therapy usually take?

Everyone’s journey is different, but most clients start to notice meaningful changes within the first few sessions ERP is designed to create lasting transformation—not just temporary relief. We’ll continuously check in and adjust the pace based on your goals and progress.

Is there hope for me—even if I feel totally stuck?

Yes. Even if it’s felt hopeless for a long time—even if no one else seems to get it—there is a path forward. OCD and anxiety disorders are treatable. With the right support and tools, you can learn to unhook from your thoughts, reduce the power of compulsions, and finally feel free.

What Is OCD?

OCD (Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder) is a mental health condition that causes unwanted, intrusive thoughts (obsessions) and urges to perform certain actions or mental rituals (compulsions) to relieve the anxiety those thoughts create. You might know your thoughts are irrational, but they still feel incredibly real—and trying to make them stop often makes them worse. OCD is not just about being neat or organized; it’s about feeling trapped in a cycle you can’t break. The good news? It’s treatable, and with the right support and tools, you can regain control.
